Cleveland Browns vs Pittsburgh Steelers
With Ben Roethlisberger back on the team and Cleveland quarterback Colt
McCoy making his first NFL start, this is likely to be a lopsided
battle. The spread is at 14 points and I would be surprised if the
Steelers aren’t able to easily cover that. We’ll have to wait and see if
Big Ben comes out of the gates a bit rusty or not, but there no doubt
in my mind the Steelers D will be tormenting Cleveland’s young QB all
day long. Steelers should have a big win here on Sunday.
San Diego Chargers vs St. Louis Rams
With a struggling Chargers team at 2-3 going on the road to meet the
Rams, they will be digging deep for a big win. There is no doubt an
angry Philip Rivers will be looking to put up some serious point on a
Rams team who was beaten badly last weekend. Although there record
doesn’t show it, the Chargers are number one in total offense and number
two in total defense. I have a feeling you will see those stats come
alive as the Chargers put up some big numbers against the Rams this
weekend.
Detroit Lions vs New York Giants
Even know the Giants started off the season struggling, that seems to be
nothing but a distant memory. And although the Lions put up 44 points
last weekend against the Rams, you can be sure that is not going to
happen again this week. The giants, currently with the number one
defense against the pass, should have no problem shutting down the
Lion’s passing game. On top of that, the Lions less than average defense
will be no match for the rounded offensive attack of the Giants. The
Giants should be able to easily cover the 10 point spread and then some.
Seattle Seahawks vs Chicago Bears
With the Bears record at 3-1 and playing at home against a sub-par
Seattle team, we should definitely see a blowout here. Jake Cutler is
back in the lineup after a Week 5 concussion and the Seahawk’s defense
can’t seem to stop anything. On top of that, you have a Bears defense
that is playing some outstanding football at the moment and a Seattle
offense that is ranked 28th in the league. Bears should win by at least
two scores.
Indianapolis Colts vs Washington Redskins
In a somewhat surprising match up to make the list, we’re calling for a
big blowout from the Colts over the Skins. We have the Redskins sitting
at the very bottom of the barrel when it comes to pass defense and a
Colts QB who had a not so impressive performance for much of the game
last week. It’s safe to say we should expect a big rebound from Peyton
Manning this week. While the spread is only 3 points, you can expect a
blowout in this one.
